Citybite is a calorie and nutrition calculator and a meal-tracking tool. It is a mobile application for providing educational information and health recommendations as a game with the following features:
- employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) to recognize photos and images of Hong Kong foods and beverages for calculating calories and nutritional content.
- apply Augmented Reality (AR) to display the nutritional contents along with visual representation.
- identify foods and beverages commonly found in Hong Kong, including Chinese, Western, and Asian restaurant cuisines, fruits, vegetables, meats, grains and beverages.
- help users create a personal food and nutritional log in a quick and convenient way.
- help users make smart food choices by providing personalized recommendations.
- use a game to enable users to build a healthy city made up of different organs, a concept similar to developing a healthy lifestyle by maintaining healthy body weight and preventing the "3 highs" (high blood glucose, pressure and cholesterol).
- provide health knowledge including nutritional information and energy balance.
- provide practical tips on how to maintain a healthy body weight and prevent the "3 highs".
- encourage users to walk at least 10,000 steps daily by tracking the number of foot steps by accessing Apple Health.
- promote users to move more often and perform stretching exercises at home through fun activities.
